Himi is a priestess of Yamata (formerly Izumo), and is a Venus adept.

He is also the brother of a non-playable adept called Nowell. The gameplay is very similar to previous Golden Sun games. The player takes control of the children of the protagonists from the previous games going on an adventure to find a magical feather. However, unlike other Jupiter adepts, she does not possess the ability to read minds. Golden Sun: Dark Dawn takes places 30 years after the event of Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age. Like the other two protagonists, Isaac and Felix, he is a Venus (Earth) adept. Kraden also appears, the first time in a location called "Konpa Ruins", the second being permanently joining after the activation of the Luna Tower. Isaac and Garet from the previous games make an appearance early on, though the other 6 do not. When desmume spins up all those threads for your multi cores, it cuts the speed of your cpu by a large fraction.Warning: The following page/section contains spoilers. Restricting it to one core may help it turbo-boost more correctly. You think your system is faster than it is because it has been finetuned for gaming, and desmume doesn't follow a similar pattern. We don't have a lot of data on how extremely turbo-boosted cpus do on desmume, but I expect that it is: quite poorly. youll have to consult the faq for other speedup suggestions, primarily frameskip

although it is a bit lower than i expected for your cpu, maybe laptops are weird. so it MAY DEFINITELY BE your computer that is the problem. I should warn you that this may be normal performance for your system, since this game goes nuts in an unusual way. if it doesn't, then something is going wrong. disabling Advanced Bus-Level Timing should help this game's performance.

as a separate experiment try setting the cpu affinity to one core. try issuing -num-cores=1 on the commandline to see what that does.

Then try fixing your power saving functions which may be crippling your cpu.
